What is permission prompt

Permission prompting is the act of requesting users' consent to receive push notifications. These prompts appear as pop-up messages either from the browser or mobile app, and users must click "Allow" to subscribe.

To Set Up Permission Prompt

To navigate to the Bell and Prompt page, follow these steps:

1. On the side menu of the app click on the option labelled " Bell and Prompt ".

2. Look for the option labeled "Bell and Prompt" and click on it.

3. Once you click on "Bell and Prompt", you will be taken to a new page.

4. On this page, you will see the permission prompt, bell icon, and block override options.

To set the text message for notifications, follow these steps:

1. On the permission prompt pannel

3. Enter the desired text, such as "Would you like to receive notifications?"

Setting up Button Texts

  1. Modify the text for the allow button as desired. For example, you could use "Allow" or "Yes"

  2. Modify the text for the discard button accordingly. Examples could include "Discard", "No", or "Don't Allow".

  3. Save the changes to apply the new button texts.

Configuring Devices for Notifications

1. Select the desired devices from desktop or mobile

2. Save the changes to apply the device configuration.

Selecting Popup Appearance and Location

1. Choose the desired appearance style, such as a banner or a modal popup.

2. Specify the location where the notification should be displayed, such as the top, bottom, or center of the screen.

Setting Trigger Rules

  1. Showing push notification after a certain time

  2. Showing push notification on-scroll

  3. Showing push notification after visiting a certain number of pages
